What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Residential Supports position at JVS Chicago?
The Director of Residential Supports role ensures JCFS Chicago is effectively providing adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) the supports needed towards independent living and full participation within their communities.
The Director will be responsible for overseeing administrative, clinical and programmatic operations of the adult residential program. and for growing the program by increasing the number of people served, and alternative models of residential supports.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Services and Program Management
* Provide operational leadership and oversight for the residential support services program
* Assure person centered supports are consistently provided throughout the program.
* Develop and implement an annual marketing plan to maintain and improve census and expand services.
* Lead the identification, assessment, and selection of new individuals interested in establishing or joining a community based residential support program in order to meet community needs.
* Identify and develop residential options and services beyond the 24/7 CILA model to provide more responsive services that meet a range of need and funding sources.
Staff Management and Development
* Responsible for overseeing the recruiting, staffing, and motivating a high performing and engaged team that will create high client satisfaction.
* In conjunction with other JCFS Chicago programs, provide an integrated array of services.
External Relations
* Build and maintain professional partnerships with allied agencies, government agencies, civic organizations and networks to enhance service provision.
* Develop strong community support through a positive internal and external marketing and advocacy program.
* Serve as an advocate for continued improvement and development of services and opportunities for inclusion for people with disabilities within the community.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, current and future clients.
Compliance and Quality
* Assure the safety and security of the people supported within the program at all times.
* Ensure high value services by developing measuring and monitoring program outcomes to ensure efficient and effective daily operations.
* Monitor services for compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
* Maintain client confidentiality and ensure adherence to HIPAA standards
REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or related field, or equivalent experience.
* 7 years working with and developing programming for people with disabilities
* 5 years of experience overseeing the operation of multi-site community based licensed and/or accredited residential supports programs.
* 3 years of leading teams and managing staff.
* Proven track record of successfully growing community based residential support programs.
New hires would need to be fully vaccinated with 1 or 2 doses and booster and provide their card upon hire OR begin receiving the booster within 2 weeks of being hired and participate in weekly COVID testing until fully vaccinated OR provide documentation for an ADA or religious exemption and participate in weekly COVID testing.
