- Under the direction of the Associate Director of Career Training, the HealthWorks Trainer is responsible for the operation and performance of the HealthWorks program designed to help individuals prepare for entering the current and future healthcare workforce.

This position includes the day-to-day participation in the training, administration, outreach and recruitment, operations, and business development for the HealthWorks career training programs and shares accountability with JVSWorks leadership.
The HealthWorks Trainer will also ensure data standards for HealthWorks reporting through Salesforce.
- Undergraduate or advanced degree in career training and/or education, business administration, public administration, social work, healthcare, or related field, along with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience
- Ability to provide adult classroom training via in-person and online and monitor student performance · Ability to provide case management and career support to diverse, low-to-moderate-income individuals
- Ability to plan, organize, and perform complex tasks and manage multiple projects and timelines while meeting deadlines · Ability to demonstrate the use of professional skills in the work environment
- Business development capabilities to initiate, nurture and maintain collaborative relationships with employer and community partners · Communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to utilize technology and online platforms, including Microsoft Office, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and Salesforce
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The HealthWorks Trainer will work to achieve mutually agreed upon goals and outcomes to: · Partner to recruit, screen, orient, and enroll qualified applicants · Train, graduate, place, and support the retention of qualified participants · Deliver quality training and curriculum and ensure training partner compliance · Engage employers, partners, and funders · Maintain high standards for participant graduation, placement, and retention · Satisfy the requirements of government and licensing partners · Satisfy employers and the requirements of employer partnership agreements · Meet or exceed funder requirements based on accurate reporting, compliance, and prioritizing Employee Training Panel (ETP) performance requirements Outcomes will be achieved by way of the following: · Driving the success of HealthWorks to meet annual goals and requirements · Collaborating with the JVSWorks team and leadership to develop strategies and deliver program effectiveness · Facilitating the ongoing development of updated, effective curricula to meet the needs of business and industry partners · Working in tandem with Philanthropy, Grants, JVSWorks’ Staff, and JVSWorks leadership in developing partnership opportunities · Ensuring accurate submission of training rosters in compliance with the Employment Training Panel (ETP) requirements, staying current and updated with ETP funding policies · Developing and maintaining close working relationships with employers and community partners · Working with the Outreach and Recruitment Team to develop and implement strategies for increasing recruitment and business development success · Tracking, monitoring, and reporting progress on key metrics and outcomes for HealthWorks PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to operate standard office equipment; will work in business, classroom, and other various settings; frequently stands, walks, sits, and climbs in performing duties in the office and at offsite locations; required to talk and hear, both in person and by telephone, use computers and standard office equipment; frequently lifts and carries up to 5lbs, occasionally up to 25lbs; must have reliable transportation to locations around greater Los Angeles and Orange County; may be required to work some evenings and an occasional weekend day.
