Mon-Fri, 6am-2:15pm, requires overhead crane experience
Mon-Thurs, 5am-3:15pm
The Material Handler will load, unload, and move materials within or near production area(s), yard, or work site, mainly at our Iron Street location.
Read work order and/or follow oral instructions to move materials or containers
Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or using fork truck
Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together
Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and maintain a clean work area, machines, and equipment
Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products
High school diploma or GED
A minimum of one (1) year of current material handling experience and recent fork truck certification is required.
Must have basic skills in navigating and using a computer; basic level of experience with Microsoft Word & Excel
Must be willing to learn MRP system, process invoices, and enter receipts
Must have the ability to follow company safety policies and procedures.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but routine written or oral instructions.

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands (including gripping & grasping) and reach with arms. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. The employee will frequently walk. The employee will frequently lift and/ or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision requirements such as color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
