Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Data Governance Manager to lead the creation and

implementation of a robust data governance practice. The successful candidate will have extensive

experience in standing up data governance practices, including creating data catalogs, data lineage,

identifying critical data elements, conducting user interviews, and leading Data Councils.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive data governance framework,

policies, and procedures.

• Work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to create a comprehensive data

catalog and identify critical data elements.

• Develop and maintain a data lineage model for all enterprise data assets.
• Conduct user interviews to understand data usage and inform data governance decisions.
• Lead the Data Council to ensure alignment of business goals and data governance objectives.
• Collaborate with the technical team to establish a data quality program and continuously monitor

data quality metrics.

• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, security standards, and other regulatory

requirements.

• Continuously evaluate and improve the data governance practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
• 8 years of experience in data governance or data management, with at least 5 years of

experience leading data governance initiatives.

• Extensive knowledge of data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Experience with data catalog creation, data lineage, critical data element identification, and user

interview techniques.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex data governance

concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with data privacy regulations and security standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
