What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Properties Manager position at K&H Landscape & Grounds Maintenance?
Principle Accountabilities:
- Assures the availability of a timely, prepared, and trained maintenance crew for each day
- Assures the availability, safety, and work-readiness of the necessary equipment for each day
- Assures the professional quality, safe production and profitability of each project to the satisfaction of our clients
- Provides oversight and guidance to maintenance crews assuring their ability to produce professional work in an efficient, timely and profitable manner.
Essential Functions:
- Read write and analyze related technical documents and manuals
- Communicate knowledgeably and authoritatively with company executives, peer management and crew members
- Physically able to walk over uneven terrain and landscapes, climb upon equipment for inspections
- Able to operate vehicles, equipment and related electronic communication and production devices
- Must have achieved the State Pesticide Certification
Job Responsibilities:
Daily:
▪ Review schedules for all Crews, answer questions, and assist operations manager with scheduling all crews.
▪ Be available for communication from Operations Manager, sales team, office staff throughout the day.
▪ Daily check in with Operations Manager at the end of the workday and updating on daily production
▪ Post instructions, notes, etc. for Yard Manager and Crews on Yard’s Bulletin Board
▪ Responsible for the company’s production of quality work - on budget and on time
▪ Manage Crews (Supervise, spot check, train, work with Crews; trouble shoot issues)
▪ Adhere to and enforce company polices as documented in Employee Handbook and Safety Manual
▪ Support and enforce the company’s training program
▪ Proactively, support, coordinate, and communicate with the K&H Sales Team and proactively schedule meetings with the team to review jobs to be completed.
▪ Regularly check/be responsive to e-mail, text, and v-mail messages throughout the day
▪ Monitor, review and report accidents or property damage (clients, K&H, others)
▪ Assess equipment and vehicle issues as they arise.
▪ Ensure that iPhones and iCrewTek App are working properly for all Crews; report any issues immediately to Scheduling
▪ Coordinate with clients (on the phone and/or in person) as necessary to review work to be completed, issues on sites.
▪ Advise on vehicle, equipment, and material procurement
▪ Actively recommend new processes and procedures on behalf of improving the company and its work environment, overall safety, increased productivity and profitability, and enhanced customer service. This includes time studies and a set process for crews performing various jobs.
Requirements:
3 to 5 years related experience in the Landscape management field
1 to 3 years supervisory experience
Proficient with computer technology - Microsoft apps Excel, Word, etc.
Proficient in landscape design and software
Work Location: Multiple locations
Salary: $75,000 based commission
Sign on bonus of $5000, paid out after 90 days of employment
