Behavioral Health Compliance Manager

K&I Healthcare Services supports the recovery of individuals with mental illness and substance abuse. We are looking for a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist who wants to join our growing company and help our community.

Summary:

The Behavioral Health Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring all agency billable programs remain in compliance with respective governing regulations and protocols. Coordination, completion and reporting results of compliance audit activities, as well as remaining current with CARF and COMAR regulations are the key functions of this position.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid State of Maryland Licensure that allows for practice as a LMSW/LCSW-C/LCPC.
  • 1-3 years' experience in a behavioral healthcare or substance abuse setting.
  • 1-3 years' experience in behavioral health compliance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Proficient with ICANotes is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects under pressure.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of diverse cultures and gender specific issues and the ability to incorporate needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into the organization.
  • Maintains appropriate confidentiality at all times when interacting with patients, residents, families, visitors, referral sources and all other contacts.
  • Displays excellent customer relation skills as evidenced by supportive and constructive communication with all contacts including coworkers, patients, residents, visitors, families and referral sources.
Responsibilities

  • Report monthly on agency's compliance with CARF and COMAR regulations, including monitoring of improvement in areas identified as needing remediation.
  • Develop and implement Quality Assurance and Improvement protocols to maintain/improve engagement and retention of clients, quality of service delivery and client achievement of intended program outcomes.
  • Assist in developing and implementing a compliance training plan with clear compliance performance objectives for staff.
  • Conduct case reviews with staff to highlight commonly made documentation errors and provide examples of documentation that meets best-practice standards.
  • Conducts billing compliance audits.
  • Analyzes utilization patterns.
  • Conducts mock audits and investigations to assess for staff deficiencies and to specifically identify where corrective actions are needed.
  • Re-evaluate areas of previously identified deficiency to assess for improvement.
  • Periodically advise and update the agency's programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week
