Job Title: Azure Cloud Architect
Location: Houston, TX
Mode : Contract (6 Months) (Day 1 Onsite)
Job Description:
- Candidate must have demonstrated experience of migrating solutions to the Azure cloud platform.
- Access, analyze current infrastructure footprint (compute, storage, network) and complete requirement gathering (HW, SW) to move individual applications to Cloud.
- Build and deploy infrastructure in cloud using Terraform, GitHub.
- Write terraform scripts from scratch for building Dev, Staging, Prod and DR environments.
- Hands on experience in Terraform for maintaining Azure resources.
- Migrate OS, Database and application from on-premises to Cloud.
- Apply technical knowledge and customer insights to create application modernization roadmap and architect solutions to meet business and IT needs.
- Complete high level and low-level design for cloud infrastructure, databases and other required components.
- Must have in-depth troubleshooting skills on IAM, Azure storage, Azure native backups and Azure Data Factory.
- Ensuring technical viability of new projects and successful deployments, orchestrating key resources and infusing key application development.
- Must have in-depth understanding of compute, storage, network components including backup, monitoring and DR environment requirements.
- Experience and understanding of large-scale applications portfolio in enterprise-wide environment (including migration of on-premises workloads to the cloud) required.
- Experience and understanding of large-scale application development projects (including key coding skills and practices) required.
- Strong scripting skills (Terraform & Powershell),
- Automation and CI/CD pipeline implementation and support using tools such as GitHub, and Jenkins.
- In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Operating platform
- Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, cost effectiveness and high availability in the cloud.
- Strong Automation Experience. Good experience on scripting, package manager tools, code quality and security assessment tools, Azure Monitor, App. Insights
- Provide technical leadership in deployment in a HA architecture.
- Provide IaaS vision, strategy, technology and roadmaps to executives, technical management using AZURE.
- Maintain deep hands ¬on technical knowledge of cloud components.
- Define and create application architecture models on Cloud platforms.
- Responsible for resilience and disaster recovery, including backup and restore operations.
- Network configuration, including TCP/IP, Domain Name System, virtual private networks, firewalls, and encryption technologies.
- Define platform roadmap and strategy.
- Strong hands-on in implementing Azure application insights, Key vaults & AD integration.
- Should have decent exposure to Azure PaaS based web app, webjobs, Application gateway, Function Apps,Logic App, Event Hub, Storage and IaaS(Both Linux and Window).
Skills
- Minimum 7-8 years of experience on implementation and operations of IaaS.
- Minimum 7-8 years of experience on implementation and operations of IaaC.
- Must have good experience in Cloud Migration (AZURE is an added advantage)
- Must have hands on experience in Setup, Installation, Maintenance, Support etc.
- Must have hands on experience CI\CD Pipeline with Github and Terraform
- Must have the capability to handle planning, execution, migrations etc.
- Must have hands on experience in PaaS services.

- AZ 104 administrator associate course – Training/Certification
- AZ 303 & 304 Azure Solutions Architect – Training/Certification.
