The Pet Care Technician (“PCT”) is responsible for upholding our culture of authentic hospitality, friendliness, respect, integrity, and our passion for dogs. The responsibility of caring for our guests is one that we take extremely serious – our guests’ health, happiness, and comfort must be top of mind at all times.
The PCT is responsible for delivering on our core promises, cleanliness, and compassionate care. This team member spends the most time directly in contact with our furry guests. Loving dogs is a must, and this team member must also be willing to get their hands dirty as cleaning accommodations, giving dog baths, and working in doggie daycare are all part of the daily responsibilities. The PCT must have excellent communication and observations skills and must also possess a keen eye for detail. The PCT is entrusted to uphold the mission and values of the Company.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Exemplifies our CULTURE and MISSION
- Responsible for the health and well-being of dogs in small dog and large dog daycare areas
- Responsible for the health and well-being of dogs in boarding
- Responsible for the sanitation of all accommodations and indoor/outdoor play areas
- Performs body checks on dogs to search for pre-existing conditions and/or injuries
- Provides personal playtimes for dogs as scheduled/needed
- Takes dogs outside for elimination breaks
- Performs dog bathing as scheduled/needed
- Ability to use down time effectively
- Performs the following tasks at the request of the General Manager/Assistant Manager/Resort Owner:
- - Runs dogs from daycare or boarding to customers- Daily/weekly resort tasks as scheduled/neededQUALIFICATIONS:Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience is preferred but not required
Job Requirements:
- Must love working with dogs and people
- Must be a Team Player with a Can-Do and Will-Do attitude
- Must be very customer service-oriented
- Must complete all K9 Resorts required certifications for Pet Care Technician
- Must be able to work additional shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed/required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs.
- Must have an active bank account with a financial institution of choice. The account must be able to accept Direct Deposit. Account(s) must be provided at the time of offer letter acceptance.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Full-Time and Part-Time Hourly Positions Available - $12 - $14 per hour based on experience
- Paid Time Off for Full-Time Team Members - 10 days per year (inclusive of personal time off, sick days, and bereavement). 1 additional day awarded on January 1st of each new calendar year of continuous employment
- Bring Your Dog to Work Program - 50% – 60% discount on services for employee-owned dog(s). (employee’s dog(s) must pass an evaluation for daycare.)
