We are looking for PART-TIME and FULL-TIME Classroom Instructors to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and be able to provide engaging and meaningful instruction to our students. The Instructor will be responsible for assessing and implementing science-backed curricula. The successful candidate will also be expected to evaluate student performance and provide feedback on their progress.
Responsibilities:
Direct Tasks:
- Assist in administering assessments in the classroom based on student needs (i.e., informal Reading Inventory, Direct Instruction, C-PIRK)
- Assist in the development of Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs) for each child
- Implement curricula in small groups, dyads, or triads as needed (e.g. Direct Instruction, Great Leaps, Phonemic Awareness)
- Implement individualized systems of instruction and skill acquisition ABA programs (e.g., Discrete Trial Training, Personalized System of Instruction, Direct Instruction) when necessary
- Implement daily data collection procedures, make data-based decisions regarding the progression of curricula and individualized programs
- Implement behavior management techniques as instructed by the BCBA and/or Program Director.
- Assist the children in activities of daily living skills (e.g. toileting, personal hygiene, dressing, and eating) when necessary
- Develop weekly progress notes that will be reported during weekly mentorship meetings
- Uphold and maintain KABAS policy and procedures.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Operations/Indirect Tasks
- Complete preparation to ensure materials are available and activities have been properly set-up
- Maintain accurate data for all students
- The CI will: 1) Oversee daily classroom operations, 2) Develop monthly newsletters to share with families to communicate classroom activities and student progress; 3) Develop monthly purchase orders (POs) relevant to necessary classroom materials, 4)Complete daily activities/routines within the classroom (i.e., opening/closing procedures, cleaning, organization, and creation of material, etc); 5) Work cooperatively with the KABAS team members to ensure that all program or family concerns are resolved appropriately
- Monitor the health status of children for illness or areas of concern
- Comply with KABAS policies regarding required reporting of child abuse
- Work cooperatively with partners (CP) and volunteers
*Must pass background checks and state finger printing*

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
