Kadiak LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Test Engineer with a Top-Secret Clearance to support Kadiak and our government customer in Vienna, Virginia.

Position Overview:
The Test Engineer will analyze business requirement to develop and execute manual and automation test cases and validate the functionalities, code quality, and report test results; Will provide functional and automation testing of features and capabilities of system applications.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Use automated testing tools the government requests, including but not limited to QuickTest Professional, LoadRunner, Selenium Tool Suite, Team Foundation Server (TFS).
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies.
- Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures for application products.
- Write, implement, and report status for system test cases. Analyze test cases and provide regular progress reports, serve as subject matter specialist, and provide testing knowledge for the support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software/hardware applications.
- Analyze requirements and design test plans to prioritize test activities for each iteration.
- Aid the development team for scheduling and maintaining of the resources needed to perform automated testing.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test scripts.
- Analyze and document test results and recommend user story adjustments.
- Perform validation after deployment dry run.
- Perform new functionality and regression testing throughout the sprint cycle, including load testing.
- Validate proposed system architecture and run test procedures to ensure that the user stories are met.
- Work with Test Engineer - Intermediate contract staff related to cross-training and knowledge sharing activities.
- Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding the organization’s testing software and methodologies and provide recommendations to the government related to production implementation strategies, advanced troubleshooting techniques and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with management and IT counterparts to define, refine, and maintain IT testing strategies, ensuring strategies are aligned to the goals of the Agile-Scrum development environment.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual testing methods to confirm operational software is defect-free and design objectives are met.
- Ensure documented Test processes and procedures are developed and submitted upon request for review by the TSC Enterprise Services group.
- Test and optimize the functionality of systems, networks, and data.
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Shall have four years of relevant experience in software testing.
- Must be able to demonstrate working in an operational environment where priorities change frequently.
- Must be able to demonstrate expertise in information system design, including application programming on large-scale database management services and the development of complex software to satisfy design objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
