What are the responsibilities and job description for the Downtown Everett position at Kaeka Group?
We are looking for competent Security Officer's to undertake the surveillance of our premises and protection of our staff and visitors. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior.
The ideal candidate will inspire, respect and exude authority as well as possess a high level of observation skills.
Assist with basic security functions by providing Safety and Security duties. Respond to observations and/or complaints of suspicious activity and complete related written reports. Interact professionally and efficiently with Law Enforcement and Fire personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Patrolling premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
- Monitoring and authorizing entrance of vehicles or people in the property
- Removing wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
- Observe and report activity while performing foot patrol duties in all types of weather.
- Respond to suspicious activity (or to reports of)
- Complete written reports as necessary/directed
- Communicate effectively with two-way radio
- Complete special assignments as directed
- Access control, observation and reporting is the majority of this duty assignment
Qualifications:
- Ability to pass a background check
- Valid security guard license or capable of
- Previous security-related work experience preferred
- Ability to stay levelheaded and respond quickly in stressful situations
- Proficient written and oral communication skills
- Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods of time
- Ability to perform continuous physical exertion as needed
- Proven experience as security officer
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills
- Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
- Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense
- High School diploma or GED is required
- A combination of 2 or more years of work experience in security services, law enforcement or retail customer service
- Authorized to work in the US
- Ability to read write and communicate professionally in the English language
- Must meet the qualifications to obtain a Washington State Guard card
- Must be able to work in varying outdoor weather (Heat, Cold, Rain and Snow)
- Reliable modes of transportation
