Department Description:
The KP Medical Foundation Consulting team is comprised of several departments, including general business consulting and project management, process improvement and workflow (Epic) consulting. We are the internal, go-to consulting team for care delivery leaders in both the Colorado and Washington markets. Our portfolio consists of 50 large-scale, complex improvement and implementation efforts.
Internship Project(s):
Partner with tenured consultant to support existing project work which will include:
driving a project forward using core change management and project management tools
in-clinic observation to understand current state and also identify pain points
support the development of content for Executive leaders to demonstrate progress and escalate any concerns (to people, timeline or budget)
Target Majors:
Business Administration; Healthcare Administration; Public Health
Target Skills:
General knowledge of the healthcare care delivery system and the desire to learn more;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to tailor communication based on the audience;
Incredible organizational skills with preference for a fast-paced environment;
Strong analytic skills with the ability to understand large data sets, distilling them down into key, salient points and also leveraging them to make concise, actionable recommendations;
Desire to partner with tenured consultants to observe workflows, perform gap analyses and implement change / help launch new initiatives.
