What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Leader SCPMG Administration position at Kaiser Permanente?
Having primary oversight and accountability for setting the administrative strategy to optimally align the work of HR, Accounting, Audit, and Tax functions.
Essential Responsibilities:
This position has primary oversight and accountability for:
- Developing high performing teams and developing internal talent for rotation throughout the organization and for increasing our bench strength for the program.
- Ensuring analytical resources, project leadership and managers are of superior quality. Working with senior leadership to develop a superior Accounting, Tax, Audit and Human Resources team to deliver outstanding performance for the SCAL Region.
- Oversees the operations and strategy of Accounting & Tax, Internal Audit, and Permanente Human Resources.
- Partnering with operations, quality, and other regional departments to develop short and long term operational plans required to mitigate risk and maintain compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley regulations.
- Supporting the negotiation of the Medical Services Agreement (MSA) and annual Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Medical Group and Hospital/Health Plan (KFH/P).
- Delivering executive level presentations and communication materials for internal groups including members of the Board of Directors.
- Oversight of Permanente Human Resources, administering all aspects of Human Resources for over 8,000 physicians, senior leaders and executives.
- Key oversight of SCPMG internal controls, including physician Rules and Regulations.
- Leading all aspects of project management, as well as staff management and development in the Administrative business unit.
- Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Kaiser Permanentes Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting noncompliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Kaiser Permanentes policies and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
- Minimum ten (10) years experience of financial management/accounting/internal audit/compensation/benefits and recruitment required.
- Masters degree in business administration, economics, finance or accounting or a related field.

- Strong communication, presentation, analytical and staff development skills required.
- CPA preferred.
