Reports financial status by preparing and analyzing financial plans, forecasts, and reports. Complete complex financial models for decision making purposes. Act as the financial laision/consultant to various business units within the organization. Errors in judgement or failure to achieve results may result in the allocation of additional resources. works under general supervision. Products are reviewed for sound judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy.
Essential Responsibilities:
Tracks financial status by monitoring variances from plan. Determines financial status by comparing and analyzing plans and forecasts with actual results. Improves financial status by analyzing results and variances; identifying trends; recommending actions.
Receives general direction for work that is reviewed upon completion. Participates in determining objectives of assignments, plans, etc.
Will be involved in special projects and/or participate in training and development efforts.
Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data. Increases productivity by developing automated applications; eliminating duplications; coordinating information requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
Minimum two (2) years of business/finance experience OR if candidate possesses a Master's degree or higher may accept that in lieu of the required experience.
Education
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications:
Four (4) years of business/finance experience in a large health care or insurance industry setting.
MBA or MSF
Demonstrated working knowledge and skills in financial modeling.
Demonstrated working knowledge and skills in the principles and practices of accounting which would include a working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Demonstrated the ability to create meaningful financial reports that are actionable.
Familiarity of financial transaction flow within operational and financial systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
Proven analytical ability.
Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
Ability to identify and solve problems.
