Provide leadership with preparing and analyzing financial plans, forecasts, and reports. Act as the financial laision/consultant to various business units within the organization. Lead work on regional or enterprise-wide projects. Interact with senior leaders and take responsbility for assignments with large financial impact. Perform complex financial and data modeling with little supervision. Works with senior level leadership and mentor junior level analyst. Initiates assignments under consultative direction toward long-range goals/objectives. Erroneous decisions or recommendations may result in failure to achieve goals.

Work independently to create complex financial models to evaluate business and industry performance. Tracks financial status by monitoring variances from plan. Determines financial status by comparing and analyzing plans and forecasts with actual results. Improves financial status by analyzing results and variances; identifying trends; recommending actions.
Develops advanced job practices, techniques, standards, principles, and concepts. Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation. Develops solutions to unique challenges that may serve as precedent for future decisions.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience
Minimum six (6) years of business/finance experience, with industry experience.
Education
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related fields.

Demonstrated working knowledge and skills in financial modeling.
Demonstrated working knowledge and skills in the principles and practices of accounting which would include a working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Demonstrated ability to create meaningful financial reports that are actionable.
Familiarity of financial transaction flow within operational and financial systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Proven problem solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Knowledge of health care and insurance industry regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ten (10) years of experience in business/finance capacity for a large health care or insurance industry setting.
MSF or MBA preferred.
