We are searching for the first Safety Manager to join our team, reporting to our COO. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to create a safety program from the ground up.

Candidates must have direct experience creating and leading safety measures in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

This role is based in New York City or Teterboro, NJ, with regular travel to all of our facilities.  Initially you will spend a few days per week in our flagship processing facility in Teterboro, NJ.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Create, implement, manage, and monitor safety programs, policies, and procedures that meet OSHA and other applicable requirements.
  • Evaluate the organization's procedures, facilities, and equipment by conducting inspections to identify unsafe conditions and to implement safeguards and solutions.
  • Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly.
  • Ensure the organization complies with all current safety regulations and that all employees are aware of safety requirements and are prepared to follow safety procedures.
  • Collect data and reports on all safety and accident events.
  • Track and document accidents to understand causes and recommend changes to prevent future accidents.
  • Responsible for fire prevention, resource conservation, and other safety related activities.

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of safety-related experience, in a warehouse or manufacturing facility
  • Bachelor’s degree in area of specialty
