Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst: Contractor
Kaizen Analytix LLC, an analytics products and services company that gives clients unmatched speed to value through analytics solutions and actionable business insights, is seeking qualified candidates for a Tableau Developer with experience in financial data analysis. Responsibilities and job requirements are below. This role requires an estimated 40 hours/week commitment for up to 1 year.
Location: Southeast preferred
Travel: 25% (~Every other week, 2 days)
Responsibilities:
Structuring ambiguous business problems and supporting data analysis, data visualization, and project management
Building the foundation for the project effort by capturing the business context - problem, current state, desired future state, objectives, business needs and impacted user groups
Tell stories with data by infusing business knowledge, leveraging user centric best-practices, and data visualization tools to convey insights in intuitive and compelling ways
Collecting and reviewing available information to make data-driven business decisions and recommendations
Facilitating a critical communications role by interacting with users (business domain), project team members and development personnel (technical domain)
Deploying project management methodologies/software development approaches and defining the appropriate deliverables throughout the project
Design, develop, and test dashboards and analytics visualizations with advanced functionality and user experience in Tableau
Support Analysis and visualization relating to annual financial planning and quarterly forecast updates
Strong understanding of all business financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow) and relationships
Evaluating trends in monthly cost outcomes for target costs and identifying opportunities for improvement
Understanding of Sale-Revenue life-cycle from order to delivery of product
Ensure the requirements are specified in a manner suitable for the intended audience and are understandable, unambiguous, and capable of being implemented and tested
Assess change requests related to requirements to assess overall impact
Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in business analysis / dashboard development or related field.
Core Skills: Strong communication skills; mindset of “own it all the way through solution”
Functional Skills: Excellent presentation and documentation skills
Tools: Tableau and advanced Excel
3 years financial analysis experience preferred
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications; Good working knowledge of Data Visualization tools; Familiarity with Analytics tools (Alteryx, Forecasting tools, etc.)
Project Management: Ability to manage projects using SDLC, PMI, and Agile methodologies
