Director of Housekeeping

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions delivers a waterpark resort and conference experience all under one roof. The authentically African-themed resort is home to America’s largest indoor waterparks and features well-appointed guest rooms, full-service Spa Kalahari, a fun-filled family entertainment center, on-site signature restaurants, unique retail shops and a state-of-the-art convention center. 

We are inviting you to apply for the open position of Director of Housekeeping. In this role, you would be responsible for ensuring optimum operation of the housekeeping, common-area, and laundry departments in an attentive, friendly, efficient, and courteous manner. You will provide guests with quality service and a clean, sanitized, and safe environment throughout their stay. 
 
Additionally, you will also focus on: 

• Monitor, manage and respond to guest comments and proactively address with operational resolutions. 
• Monitor schedules for the housekeeping operation and manage staffing process to ensure appropriate levels of resourcing to maintain efficient operations. 
• Recruitment of associate and supervisory roles. 

We do require that you have a background, consisting of (an): 

• Minimum five years’ management responsibility in a large volume resort with over 500 rooms. 
• Having a broad understanding of the tourism industry and the day-to-day operations of a hotel/resort. 
• Must have managed time and attendance using software. 
• Four-year college degree preferred, or college course work in related field.
