Event Coordinator - Banquets

Kalahari Resorts and Conventions delivers a beyond-expectations waterpark resort and conference experience all under one roof. We are inviting you to apply for the position of Banquet Coordinator.  In this position, be responsible for overseeing event set-up and planning, assisting in training staff, and acting as a liaison between the Kalahari Events Team and our guests. Help lead staff by holding pre-function meetings that incorporate training, direction, and guidance in event details and Kalahari Standards. Be part of a dynamic team, working in a fast-paced environment that hosts events of all sizes and types.  

We do require that you have a background consisting of 2 years of supervisory or management experience in food service or the hospitality industry in a convention center or large hotel (over 500 room property). Prior experience as a server and set-up houseperson is required. Having a broad understanding of the tourism industry and the day-to-day operations of a hotel/resort are helpful.
