E-Commerce Specialist

Position Summary: We are looking for a proactive, entrepreneurial-minded individual with experience in the ecommerce world. We would like someone who can take-over our current online store, as well as identify and develop other secondary online revenue streams for our brick and mortar store.

• Take over the operation of our online store on Shopify
• Develop and implement operational plans for all e-commerce business; responsible for all aspects from identifying products to fulfillment to the consumer.
• Utilize our Non-Profit Google grant to fund the costs of any digital marketing associated with any ecommerce endeavors.
• The job requires an energetic person willing to roll up their sleeves at every level with an ability to utilize, recruit and motivate his/her volunteers.
• Report monthly on activities, analytics and profitability to the General Manager.

Skills & Abilities

• Evaluate, execute, and optimize keyword research strategies to identify the most effective key phrases to drive traffic.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills to create operational processes, ie. accurately document, categorize, and track inventory.
• Proficiency in photography techniques to capture appealing product images and strong written communication skills, with the ability to write engaging descriptions.
• Entrepreneurial thinking and hands-on attitude.
• Passion for Christian Education and dedication to the mission and values of Second Impressions Upscale Thrift.

Education and Experience

• 2 years experience with ecommerce platforms
• 2 years experience and knowledge of digital marketing functions beyond merchandising- including marketing and analytics

Working Conditions

Hours of work: Flexible but able to devote enough time to make this operation successful

Work environment: Current space is an upper-level office room. Possible relocation of storage space is being explored. Online work space is flexible and can be done from home or school.

Special Conditions or Requirements: You will report to the Second Impressions General Manager, working closely with the manager in all aspects of any secondary endeavors, providing documentation of time, activities and results.

Travel requirements: Your own transportation to and from the store and possible new space. Also, ability to transport merchandise from the store to storage and mailing location.
