JOB SUMMARY
This is a part-time, 20 hours / week position. Perform various administrative tasks and serve as a receptionist, greet and direct visitors, answer phones, and maintain files and other duties to support and maintain quality in the activities of the Business Office as well as uphold the mission and values established by amazoo College.
Strives for superior customer service and performance by consistently providing a product or service to leadership, faculty, and staff that is recognized as ultimately contributing to the student experience.
JOB RELATIONSHIPS
Responsible To : Director of Finance
Workers Supervised : None
Inter-Relationships : Work closely with all Business Office staff, leadership, and all K College personnel on a daily basis.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides timely and accurate administrative support to Business Office staff, including correspondence, meetings and travel arrangements, maintenance of office files, and answering the telephone.
- Supports and assists Finance leadership with department specific projects and activities.
- Distributes incoming and outgoing mail. Orders and maintains office supplies.
- Works collaboratively with colleagues in the Business Office to direct walk-in traffic and provide general assistance.
- Manage the College’s cell phone program.
- Coordinates department and operational meetings as requested.
- Maintains vendor records. Prints and distributes accounts payable checks weekly.
- Assist the Student Accounts Manager with communication with students and other special projects.
- Assist with insurance renewal and provide certificates of insurance as needed.
- Maintain the Business Office websites

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Associates degree or higher preferred
EXPERIENCE
Three years of related experience required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE
Computer skills, including accurate typing and data entry and strong proofreading skills, ability to apply word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications, and to use internet resources.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; PowerPoint experience helpful.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL ABILITIES / MOTOR SKILLS

Vision : Requires the ability to perceive the nature of objects by the eye. Near acuity : Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.
Midrange Acuity : Clarity of vision at distances of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet.
Motor Coordination : While performing the duties of the job, it is required to regularly perform functions that include using hand and finger movement, handle or feel objects, be able to use tools or equipment that requires reaching with hands and arms.
Must be able to travel independently.
Speaking / Hearing : Ability to give and receive information through speaking and listening.
