Essential Functions
- Prepares the surface to be painted by sanding and grinding imperfections, cleaning any dust or dirt to prevent imperfect finishes.
- Operates a spray equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products
- Uses HPLV spray equipment for heat cured spray product and material handling. May paint items by hand as needed.
- Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Completes part finishing with baking, polishing or other materials.
- Oversees own and others’ painting jobs, develops plans, schedules, and activities, assigning tasks, and estimating needed materials.
- Manages equipment, tools, and materials, maintaining inventory, coordinating repair, and purchasing replacement equipment and supplies.
- Provides job status updates to management and recommends procedural changes.
- Trains selected employees on paint techniques to maintain a steady back up of helpers.
- Provides training to employees assisting with painting on job specifications while inspecting completed tasks and ensuring compliance to company standards.
- Follows all required safety procedures.
- Conducts on-site labor, including part preparation, mixing colors, repairing furnishings, and painting surfaces.
- Properly disposes of hazardous waste by following proper procedures.
- Disassembles, cleans, and reassembles painting equipment.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Other job-related duties.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

- Must be able to pass a drug and background check
- High school Diploma or GED
- 1 years of experience using HPLV spray equipment in a manufacturing setting
- 1 years of production environment experience, with focus on mechanical aspects of the job.
- Must have strong ethics and integrity.
- Must have a go-getter attitude with focus on obtaining results.
- Ability to utilize great judgement skills to make the right decisions.
- Ability to be a team player with focus on positive attitude and constant improvement.
- Ability to follow instructions in detail.
- Ability to stand for 4 hours at a time.
- Experience with hand tools.
- Understanding of firearm handling and laws is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Position Type: Full Time Non-Exempt
Reports to: Shop Manager
Compensation: $16-$18 Hourly
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm
