For our students in the Detroit Metro Area, we are seeking School-Based Social Workers who want to make a profound difference in their lives by empowering them to succeed and achieve their dreams.
SUMMARY:
- Provide direct school social work services to refer students who have social and emotional problems that interfere with learning.
- Provide individual and group therapeutic counseling to students and their families as well as crisis intervention.
- Assist in developing positive behavioral intervention strategies.
- Obtain and coordinate community resources to meet student's specific needs.
- Collaborate and consult with other staff as well as provide training when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Valid Michigan Social Work License.
- Valid School Social Work Endorsement.
