Job Summary

The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for delivering a full scope of general and restorative dental hygiene services for all ages in a rural setting. This includes providing dental treatments and restorative services, administering local anesthetic agents, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver quality dental hygiene services in a dependable, responsible, and safe manner.
• Provide dental treatments and restorative services, including amalgam restorations, composite restorations, and nitrous oxide administration.
• Electronically document patient visits, telephone contacts, and treatments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with professional, federal, and other applicable guidelines.
• Collaborate with the dentist to provide organized and effective care.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with patients and colleagues.

Requirements

• Requires the ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Significant portions of the job require extended sedentary periods, constant work with computers, and standing, walking, sitting, bending, and stooping.
• Travel to and from Spokane and Usk, WA.
• Will require protective gloves or other appropriate personal protective equipment for safety precautions.
• Potential exposure to contagious and infectious diseases and body fluids.

Working Conditions

The work is performed in a clinical setting.
