Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist
Department: Materials
Reports To: Materials Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor and assign purchase requests (PR’s) assigned by the current inventory database. This includes line station(s) and (FAK’s) Fly-Away- Kits.
- Interact with the repairs department and various stockrooms to meet current inventory shortages to maintain required levels at various Kalitta Air station operations and FAK stock requirements.
- Review daily AOG purchases in order to evaluate whether current inventory levels need to be added or increased.
- Attend weekly meetings with Materials Manager to evaluate and discuss possible new inventory set up at various locations.
- Collect, review and file monthly Station Shelf Life Reports. This includes Kalitta Air staffed and contract staffed stations. Review current expired items and final disposition of items.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Materials Manager.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable.
Aviation experience preferred w/ background in navigating and using Inventory
Management databases. Microsoft Office experience is required, including Excel, Outlook, and Word. Proficient communication skills are a must.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to create/write routine reports and correspondence.

The candidate must have the ability to multi-task working in a fast-paced environment. Ability to prioritize & work with team members & other departments to support the Kalitta Air fleet.
