JOB TITLE: Logistics Accounts Administrator
DEPARTMENT: Materials
REPORTS TO: Materials Manager
LOCATION: Ypsilanti, MI - YIP
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- Manage all of the various Kalitta Air shipping accounts which includes reviewing user management (i.e. FedEx, Airspace, DHL, mycarrier, etc.)
- Responsible for administrating all aspects of Kalitta Air accounts (i.e. User setup/modification, address changes, internal department code groupings, etc.)
- Review all requests for new logistics accounts.
- Manage FedEx SBP and Surround Select Programs, including but not limited to building a HTS Tariff Code database and the main POC for all concerns pertaining to FedEx.
- Run weekly reports to monitor customs and duties fees on all accounts to ensure any discrepancies are captured.
- File any necessary shipment disputes pertaining to cost discrepancies with appropriate carriers.
- Electronically file claims for lost / undeliverable shipments and follow-up until case file is closed.
- Collaborate with Logistic account representatives on quarterly report audit trends.
- Explore different avenues to save on transportation costs.
- Assist Materials personnel with rate quote options for their shipments.
- Review invoices submitted by accounting for approvals to ensure proper billing.
- Coordinate with all stations, vendors and Materials AMOS Administrator to ensure their shipping databases contain accurate shipping details, addresses, POC’s, etc.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Inventory Control Supervisor.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable.
Aviation experience preferred w/ background in navigating and using Inventory Management databases. Microsoft Office experience is required, including Excel, Outlook and Word. Proficient communication skills is a must.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to create / write routine reports and correspondence.
