JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance/Facilities Supervisor responsible for maintaining and improving equipment along with KAM facilities, all in support of operational requirements.
The Maintenance/Facilities Supervisor maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in analyzing the root cause of issues, restoring equipment to operation, and taking action to eliminate future failures. Develops, implements, and plans preventative maintenance routines for all plant equipment. Plans, organizes, and executes equipment and facility upgrade projects. Has supervisory responsibility for Maintenance Technicians.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
- Leads and mentors a team of Maintenance Technicians.
- Leads preventative maintenance activity.
- Assigns maintenance work orders to technicians for completions and tracks status of WO. Prioritizes all submitted work orders.
- Maintains spare part inventories and works with part supplier to get replacement parts in a timely manner.
- Proactively implements changes to avoid problems; improve quality and safety; and reduce costs.
- Installs and/or decommissions equipment in accordance with company safety procedures in line with OSHA requirements.
- Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and other plant equipment.
- Diagnoses problems, replace or repair parts, detect and replace defective equipment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- College degree in Engineering or proof of completed apprenticeship/certificate programs preferred. Additional work experience may be a substitute for education requirements.
- Experience working with Injection Molding machinery is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.
- Minimum of 3 years leading a maintenance team, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Requires experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Needs a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
- Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment and must be able to interface and communicate internally as well as with customers and suppliers.
- Must be highly safety conscious.
- Must have the ability to analyze problems and situations and develop appropriate solutions along with excellent problem-solving skills. Needs to have demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and debug problems.
- Requires ability to work with minimal supervision, plan and execute own work, and verify own results.
