Overview:

Kaman Industrial Technologies is looking for a Rubber Product Specialist to support organizational profitability by identifying opportunities for increased business; providing guidance to sales team on products and applications that are beneficial for customers; partner with sales to communicate information on products and technologies, such as lightweight belting, European style belting, heavy duty black belt, conveyor system surveys / predictive services, lightweight and heavyweight conveyor system accessories.

In this role, you will work within a given territory to promote Rubber Products in conjunction with the branches to increase sales and profitability through information and presentations of products and technologies. You will manage the category itself for the given region and will aid in the training process, provide technical support to the field, and may also work directly with OEMs in special cases.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Grows profitable sales by establishing and implementing products as well as establishing and driving an industry business plan.
  • Develops marketing/sales strategies for specific rubber products to support KIT locations sales and profit plans.
  • Gains depth in accounts where we have a presence with other KIT products and strengths.
  • Trains branch personnel on the latest technology products and applications.
  • Creates awareness of products and manufacturers that are a part of the managed category.
  • Coordinates machine and store room surveys / audits with the purpose of creating and recording line mapping information to better service customer and align belt shop inventories with the market.
  • Provides direct sales support to the branches through sales calls and presentations on product applications to new and existing customers.
  • Recommends applications, technologies and sources of products to KIT locations and customers to promote value-added sales.
  • Communication & follow up with Regional Sales & Customer Service Teams.
  • Uses feedback from the field to continuously improve our Engineered Rubber Product Center (ERPC): e.g., quality, training, processes, pricing structures, inventory, shop functions, etc.
  • Plays a key role in differentiating the Midwest through expansion of our ERPC with the vision of being the Midwest’s top supplier of quality products, with outstanding service and performance and on time delivery with pre/post sales and engineering support.
Qualifications:
Education –BA in Engineering or equivalent degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience
– A minimum of 2-4 years of related Engineering in a manufacturing/sales environment. Familiarity with distribution industry and KIT products preferred.
