Overview
This position will be part of a Quality Assurance Team that is responsible for supporting, developing, and improving its quality management system by eliminating waste and reducing variation. Day-to-day responsibilities will include the review of process/product control documents, review of product specification requirements, submittal of process/product document change requests, data collection, and data analysis. This position will also be assigned unique projects based on production needs and continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all organizational roles at all levels and apply a technical method of problem solving.
This is a 1st shift position.
Pay range is $25.00 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review/interpret engineering drawing details and apply specifications at various inspection points.
- Provide support and feedback to production teams
- Develop supporting documentation including inspection plans, work instructions, procedures and processes.
- Establish and suggest improvements in process routings for controlling product specification requirements.
- Initiate and review Document Change Orders, Engineering Change Orders, and process deviations.
- Collect process data and analyze the data using descriptive and inferential statistics.
- Evaluate the repeatability and reproducibility of inspection methods.
- Perform miscellaneous, and non-standards duties as required. Such duties are diversified in nature and may be changed from time to time to suit the needs of the company.
Qualifications
Education:
- Currently pursuing B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering/Engineering Technology Degree or demonstrated experience in a similar Manufacturing environment.
Experience:
- 0-3 years’ experience
- Experience with Excel, QI Macros, or minitab
- Strong computer skills and analytical skills
- Assembly and/or manufacturing shop floor experience is a plus
- Experience with a Certified Quality Management System is a plus
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to interpret GD&T on Engineering drawings
- Knowledge in inspection tools and methods
- Knowledge in descriptive and inferential statistics
- Knowledge in LEAN Six Sigma concepts and methods
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply requirements from a multitude of industry standards documents
- Must be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to identify and solve problems with little direction or assistance
- Skilled in the many uses of Excel including pivot tables
