The position provides administrative and case management support to probation officers. Duties required require the interpretation of policies and procedures, court sentencing orders and the use of independent judgement.

Responsibilities include composing editing and reviews of specialized correspondence.Assisting probation officer with the supervision of offenders. Collaboration with law enforcement and other criminal justice agencies.Monitor compliance and make referrals to other agencies.Responsibilities may also include creating unique, complex documents and correspondence, reviewing, correcting and approving data, maintain and documenting in a database.Responsibilities; providing information to participants; reviewing information; interviewing participants; maintaining and coordinating the collection and maintenance of related files.

KNOWLEDGE: Division and/or department operations;Principles and practices in assigned area of responsibility;Modern office procedures;English language, grammar, and punctuation;Report preparation techniques;SKILLS: Using a computer and related software applications;Coordinating and scheduling meetings and events;Using modern office equipment;Preparing and maintaining records and/or reports;Using proper English grammar, punctuation, and spelling;Maintaining confidentiality;Processing routine and complex forms and documents;Reconciling basic accounts;Utilizing communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, and others sufficient to exchange or convey information.
