Position Summary:
Housekeeping Public Area attendants are responsible in cleaning and maintain the appearance of all public areas in the hotel, rooftop, lobby, lounge area and restaurant.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly service-oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Marriott standards as required
• Clean/buff floors daily according to hotel standards
• Shampoo furniture and carpets as needed according to hotel standards
• Clean public restrooms, associate breakroom and back of the house hallways and ensure maintenance on a regular basis/as needed throughout the shift
• Practice safe work habits to ensure safety to guests fellow associates and self
• Clean and polish elevators, staircase, mirrors and railings throughout the property
• May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects and cleaning Milo restaurant
• Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas
• Perform and move at a speed that is required to respond to work situations
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Good eye for details
• Working knowledge of housekeeping and hotel services, policies and operations.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be able to meet physical demands of the position.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year of housekeeping/janitorial experience
• Preferred hotel/hospitality experience
• Must be available day/night shifts, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
• Requires frequent bending, reaching overhead and squatting.
• Lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 30 lbs without assistance and a minimum of 100 lbs with assistance.
• Push/pull objects weighing up to 75 lbs without assistance.
