What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wildlife Technician position at Kansas Wildlife pros?
Our wildlife technicians are responsible for safely removing nuisance wildlife from residential and commercial properties. In conjunction withbthe removal process we also do prevention work as well as cleanup and sanitation. Applicants must have a desire to work outdoors, not have a fear of heights, and have their own vehicle.
Experience working with wildlife is nice but not a requirement. Our technicians must also be able to work independently, be in good health and understand the importance of personal and animal safety. Applicants must submit to a background check before the end of the hiring period.
Responsibilities:
- Being presentable and well spoken is very important as you will be talking to and informing customers regularly
- Capture and relocate small game, Capture and relocate snakes, Capture and relocate feral animals, Capture and relocate birds.
- Work on steep roofs and perform work in small, cramped areas.
- Know how to navigate an attic space properly and safely (walk on joists)
- Knowledge of basic power tools (impact, Sawzall, hammer drill)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
