What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead, Title Clerk position at KAR Global?
Job Summary : Reporting to designated Manager, the Title Clerk Lead will provide manager back-up when necessary to ensure all aspects of title processing and monetary transactions are completed daily. Provide customer service and resolve issues in a professional manner. Perform all duties assigned by the Office Manager or designated Manager. Must know, practice, and ensure that company policies, procedures and state and federal laws are followed, at all times.
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to the following:
1. Provide Excellent Customer Service:
- Provide customer service and resolve issues in a professional manner.
- Receive payments of purchased vehicles and issue payments to seller of vehicle
- Prepare and process duplicate titles to DMV per customer request
- Prepare weekly report for vehicles without titles and communicate to buyers. Contact sellers for updates on missing titles and enter all notes into AMS system.
- Practice and promote company Core Values
2. Other
- Process incoming titles from sellers and assign to new buyer.
- Verify that titles are free from errors, alterations, mileage discrepancies and undisclosed brands
- Prepare weekly Accounts Receivable report from AMS systems and transfer information to Excel spreadsheet.
- Daily posting of incoming wire transfers from floor plan companies and dealer payments. Ensure all monetary transactions are reconciled and posted accurately. Reconcile bank clearing.
- Run weekly Autocheck report for vehicles at auction. Verify miles and ensure vehicle announcements contain correct brands and disclosures.

- Strong knowledge of title processing and auction processes
- Multi-tasking in fast-paced environment
- Microsoft Office skills

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Customer Service in a fast-paced environment
- 3 to 5 years title experience
This position is subject to inside working conditions, including minor disruptions in workflow, slightly elevated ambient noise levels during auction.
