What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Software Engineer position at Karbon?
Karbon is looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join our Australian team in Canberra or Sydney. The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter who is passionate about solving customer's technical problems.
Some of your main responsibilities will include:
- Proactively monitoring production environments and taking corrective actions when necessary
- Working with Customer Success and Support teams to address issues raised by customers and notifying the Development team when required
- Database administration, automation, performance tuning, and doing data fixes when necessary
- Performing data extraction at the request of customers or internal stakeholders
- Working with the Product team to provide targeted solutions for specific customer problems
- Creating and maintaining documentation, and responding effectively to customer tickets
- Executing Data and Dev Ops projects alongside business-as-usual tasks
About You
Candidates with the following characteristics and experience are encouraged to apply:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or relevant industry experience)
- 2-5 years of .Net experience, specifically around investigating .Net exceptions
- Strong relational database knowledge (preferably Microsoft SQL Server)
- Previous application support experience, or clear capability to work in a application support role, with excellent communication skills
- Platform monitoring or system administration skills with a focus on automation
- Familiarity with Microsoft tech stack
- Strong customer-focus and dedication
- Ability to clearly explain and document issues
- Analytical thinker capable of multitasking and prioritizing
- Keen interest in learning and adopting new technology
- Team player who brings passion
