This work will range from helping to evolve existing service offerings to building completely new offers that support our customers in navigating a world of limited capital and fast-moving technologies. We would prefer the hired individual to live in the greater Los Angeles area, but are open. This position will travel domestically 25-30% of the time.
Success in this role will require deploying strategies that create value for our customers at each step of their lifecycle including acquisition, adoption, expansion, and renewal. The ability to build the right strategies and measure their results at each of these steps will be key for success.
Primary Responsibilities
- With minimal oversight, implements strategic marketing tactics and plans that support the specialty with a specific focus on driving revenue growth and increased marketing share
- Evolve our existing service offers to drive increased customer engagement
- Establish new subscription-based acquisition offers for customers (XaaS / SaaS)
- Launch newly established offers in partnership with multiple KARL STORZ departments (Sales, Revenue Operations, Service, Regulatory, etc)
- Drive sales personnel engagement in these newly established or enhanced offers
- Analyze market trends for product positioning, identify new required capabilities, and remain expert on competition. Communicate, via regular reporting, implications to Marketing, US Sales, and Americas Leadership Team.
- Partners with geographies, marketing specialties, education team and functional experts to develop and execute field and customer education and training plan solicit the field and customers for insights, input and ideas on how to optimize current offers
- Create and manage content (value analysis briefs, presentations, sales collateral, etc) conveying value to internal and external customers
- Serve as liaison to internal cross functional team members, upper-level management, Global, and external vendors by providing insights garnered from the field personnel, operations department and customers.
Essential Functions
- Reports directly to the Group Marketing Manager
- Ability to take direction from management and executes tasks within a project in a timely manner. Frequently demonstrates ability to manage projects independently.
- Ability to work alongside management to prioritize work and schedules activities that maximize effectiveness and supports marketing and sales goals.
- Supports teammates in departmental projects and even manages own projects
- Works with appropriate cross functional team members.
- Follows the cost center annual budget (OPEX)
- Ability to do work that may require lifting heavy objects in excess of 25 pounds.
- Ensure full compliance and legal approvals for all commercial activities
- Travel requirement will be 20-30%
- Experience in writing, presentation, and communication.
- Consistently organize resources, analyzing and solving problems, establishing priorities within tasks given, and making evaluative judgments with minimal oversight from the Group Marketing Manager
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3-5 years of medical sales and/or marketing experience
- Proven experience demonstrating proficiency in marketing principles, concepts, and methodologies
- Proven experience demonstrating proficiency in market research and sales forecasting principles and methodologies
- Excellence in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
