Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Proficiently use the engraving software including arranging pages according to aesthetic standards, and layout specifications, altering illustrations to enlarge, reduce, or clarify images, entering commands to position text and illustrations on page grid of computer monitor, creating appropriate spaces between letters, columns, and lines, etc.
Review layouts and customer orders.
Ensures print info is correct and checks for errors.
Check the spelling on all jobs & check setups on each job to ensure proper margins, text size, tag size & color.
Orders supplies, materials, and labels.
Make tags for all jobs.
Perform maintenance on engraving tables.
Communicates regularly with Engineering and Production employees.
Assists with other production job duties or other departments when it is slow in engraving.
Responsible for ensuring the quality of goods and services to both internal and external customers.
Responsible for following work orders and procedures as determined by the Quality Management Systems standards of ISO 9001.

Education & Experience
High School diploma/GED preferred.
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or one to three years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Additional Qualifications
Ability to use and be versatile with the computer and learn new software as necessary.
Excellent computer, spelling, and math skills.
Has some mechanical ability to do basic maintenance on machines.
Knows how to use a tape measure and other measuring devices.
Maintains a desire to work, good attitude, and work ethic.
Maintains an acceptable driving record.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Ability to communicate effectively with peers and subordinates in a one-on-one and/or group setting.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Organizational skills and attention to detail are a must.
Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize time and various projects.
Ability to work with confidential customer data.
Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing production setting. It occasionally is exposed to the movement of mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually loud/moderate. Typical days and hours are 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday. Overtime as required.
Physical Demands
The position will require frequent standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. Occasionally, it may require sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and/or team lifting or moving up to 100 lbs.
