SUMMARY
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Controller working to support a growing manufacturing operation. The position will be responsible for all accounting, inventory and financial management aspects of company operations as well as providing leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, analysis, and budgeting activities of the Company.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide hands-on leadership over the administration of a standard accounting system in a manufacturing environment
• Run day-to-day activities of cash disbursement, invoicing, and bill-pay, and prepare related journal entries through QuickBooks accounting software
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, purchase orders and cash transactions
• Coordinate regular financial closing, preparation of financial statements and account reconciliations
• Manage cash flow and assist with supplier contracts, purchasing and expenses
• Develop accounting reports and procedures to ensure accurate monthly financial reporting
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and GAAP
• Create, coordinate, and evaluate the financial systems of the company to include budgeting, tax planning, inventory workflow and financial reporting
• Develop forecasts of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flows
• Manage the annual budget process, evaluate the business’s performance against budget
• Create periodic Board of Directors reporting packages
• Ensure accuracy of the physical inventory and reported results
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal licenses and reporting requirements
• Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and audit procedures
• Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards
• Communicate with the Company’s external CPA team regarding ongoing tax filings, reviews, audits, data requirements, and information needs
• Process payroll and business expense reimbursements, ensuring compliance with State and Federal requirements
• Coordinate 1099 issuance to independent contractors and vendors
• Provide administrative support to all levels of the organization
• Work on special projects and assist team members as needed
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized University
• Five years of experience in an accounting or controller position
• Experience in a logistics/manufacturing environment as to Cash, Accounts Receivable, Inventory and Accounts Payable management
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
• Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations
• Excellent ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-growth environment with minimal supervision
• Previous experience with QuickBooks
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
• Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

WORKSPACE/HOURS: Office located in Henderson, Nevada.
Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday, 8AM-5PM.
- COMPENSATION: Competitive base salary commensurate with market rates, based on individual’s experience level.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
