- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality certification
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related field or nursing
- MSN or other graduate degree in a health-related field
- Master’s degree in health-related field or nursing
- Direct experience in federal and state hospital/health system accreditation requirements, standards and compliance surveys
- Experience in leading all points in survey processes; readiness, survey and post survey management
- Experience using quality management tools and principles
- Experience with facilitation of group process
- Experience with data management
- Current knowledge of The Joint Commissions Standards, Title 22 and CMS Conditions of Participation.
- Knowledge and ability to use PC -based information management systems and databases.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and gain alignment for clinical support and be able to articulate questions to receive an appropriate level of support from superiors and peers.
- Knowledge of Risk Management/Quality Improvement/Patient Safety and hospital policies and standards preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The Director of Accreditation provides a value-added depth of knowledge and expertise that will enable Kaweah Health to successfully maintain Joint Commission/CMS and CA State Licensing accreditation by effectively meeting the regulations, advance standards-based practice, and sustaining a culture of continuous readiness. This position encompasses broad knowledge of the regulatory and accreditation environment; the ability to identify relevant statutes, regulations, and standards; and skill and expertise to oversee their successful adoption and evaluation. The Director must prepare for the ever-changing healthcare regulatory and accreditation landscape by developing a strong foundation to identify and appropriately apply regulations and accreditation standards within the wide variety of healthcare settings within the organization.
