POSITION SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The Director of Accreditation provides a value-added depth of knowledge and expertise that will enable Kaweah Health to successfully maintain Joint Commission/CMS and CA State Licensing accreditation by effectively meeting the regulations, advance standards-based practice, and sustaining a culture of continuous readiness. This position encompasses broad knowledge of the regulatory and accreditation environment; the ability to identify relevant statutes, regulations, and standards; and skill and expertise to oversee their successful adoption and evaluation. The Director must prepare for the ever-changing healthcare regulatory and accreditation landscape by developing a strong foundation to identify and appropriately apply regulations and accreditation standards within the wide variety of healthcare settings within the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
License /Certification
Required:
Preferred:
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality certification
Education
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related field or nursing
MSN or other graduate degree in a health-related field
Preferred:
Master’s degree in health-related field or nursing
Experience
Required:
Direct experience in federal and state hospital/health system accreditation requirements, standards and compliance surveys
Experience in leading all points in survey processes; readiness, survey and post survey management
Experience using quality management tools and principles
Experience with facilitation of group process
Experience with data management
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Current knowledge of The Joint Commissions Standards, Title 22 and CMS Conditions of Participation.
Knowledge and ability to use PC -based information management systems and databases.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to build relationships and gain alignment for clinical support and be able to articulate questions to receive an appropriate level of support from superiors and peers.
Knowledge of Risk Management/Quality Improvement/Patient Safety and hospital policies and standards preferred.

Schedule: Reg Full Time, Day, 8 hour shifts 40 hours/week
