POSITION SUMMARY/PURPOSE
-
The LCSW/LMFT is part of the interdisciplinary team who provides direct assessment, diagnostic formulation, treatment planning, clinical interventions, and psycho-education to patients. The LCSW/LMFT practices independently and is familiar with and has expertise in a variety of treatment modalities. Works with patients across the spectrum of development including geriatrics, adults, adolescents, and children while demonstrating cross cultural competence. Majority of the position is spent in direct patient care.

Two or more years of experience providing child, adolescent and/or adult counseling.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities-
Proficient in various treatment modalities including individual, group, and/or family systems.

Proficient in treating patient’s across developmental stages.

Ability to identify and implement treatment modalities that will best serve the patient’s needs.

Provides appropriate and timely documentation of clinical encounters in patients’ medical record.

Demonstrates knowledgeable of community resources.

Demonstrates cultural competence and commitment to patients.

Prior to providing therapy, health plan credentialing must be completed through Kaweah Health Managed Care.
