KAYAK is looking for a Director of FP&A to join its Finance team. This senior-level position will ideally be located on the East Coast of the United States, but consideration will be given to U.S. candidates based elsewhere.
The individual will be an integral member of a team responsible for budgeting, forecasting and managing KAYAK|OpenTable’s full P&L and serving as analytical and strategic business partners throughout the organization. Reporting to KAYAK|OpenTable’s Senior Vice President of FP&A, the Director, FP&A will be responsible for forecasting and reporting revenue, marketing costs, and statistical/non-financial metrics. The Director, FP&A will manage and lead a team of five, including two direct reports.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for business partnering, people management, continuous improvement, and using data to drive business insight and decision making.
In this role, you will:

Oversee forecasting and reporting for revenue, marketing costs, and statistical/non-financial metrics for both KAYAK and OpenTable

Lead and mentor a team of five, fostering a professional and collaborative environment

Build strong relationships with KAYAK|OpenTable Finance, Commercial, and Marketing teams; partner closely with business teams to understand performance

Coordinate and support weekly and monthly business reviews, including variance analyses; work across the team to develop/optimize KPI reporting

Synthesize and communicate key financial and business insights at an executive level

Continuously improve FP&A processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and value-add of the function

Hold a Bachelor’s degree in finance or other quantitative subject area

Have a minimum of 6-8 years of related professional experience; FP&A experience required, preferably in a leadership role

Have a minimum of 3 years in a management position

Have a deep understanding of P&L drivers and forecasting processes

Have strong quantitative and analytical skills, and proficiency in financial modeling

Are a teammate with a “no task is too small” attitude

Are a self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills

Have a demonstrated ability to prioritize your work, manage deadlines, and set shared expectations with senior management

Have a demonstrated ability to work independently, coordinate the efforts of others and work well with people at a wide range of levels

Experience with consolidation software such as OneStream is a plus

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this remote United States based role is $172,000-$216,000.
In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible for additional compensation and benefits including: annual cash bonus, equity grant; health benefits; flexible spending account; retirement benefits; life insurance; paid time off (including PTO, paid sick leave, medical leave, bereavement leave, floating holidays and paid holidays); and parental leave and benefits.
