Responsibilities
- Design and Implement the firms Tick Database
- Develop operational and testing tools to support the infrastructure
- Level 3 production support when needed
- Design and implement reusable modular components
- Responsible for iteration planning, software release scheduling, and iterative delivery
- Responsible for continuous improvement of product quality and technology platform
Qualifications/Skills
- 5 years working with KDB /Q
- 5 years of working with large market data datasets
- In depth knowledge of Equity products and instruments including; electronic trading capabilities, algorithmic trading, direct market access, dark pools, crossing network and smart order routing
- Additional experience in traditional languages such as Python, C/C , Java is strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage numerous and changing priorities and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated skills to work in a collaborative, team-oriented style
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience designing high availability, 24x7 trading environment
