Position Summary:
Corporate Communications is a new function at KBI Biopharma. In this position, Director, Corporate Communications will oversee internal communications, brand development and positioning, community partnerships and events, and public relations. This role reports to the SVP, Corporate Communications.
Position Responsibility:
- Ensure a positive brand image is presented throughout all internal and external communications.
- Support Executive Team and other leaders with internal and external communications.
- Develop and foster a positive corporate culture through leadership and communication activities.
- Create, lead, and manage crisis communication action plan in conjunction other teams and key stakeholders.
- Lead internal communications planning, development, implementation and budget in alignment with strategic business goals and objectives.
- Recommend communications strategies and launch digital platforms and other channels to augment or replace existing methods.
- Manage and when needed adjust the department budget to maintain alignment with forecasted spend.
- Provide and facilitate team member training to enable personal development, growth and improve value contribution.
- Redesign company Intranet, implement strategy, and oversee the Intranet moving forward.
- Manage content and oversee implementation of global meetings (i.e., Global All Hands Meetings and Ask Me Anything sessions).
- Orchestrate diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and messaging in collaboration with parent company and within KBI independently.
- Elevate company brand, solidify positioning, and promote throughout the organization in support of company mission, vision, value.
- Oversee internal brand hub and external media kit.
- Create strategy for cultivating and leveraging community and industry relationships.
- Collaborate with Human Resources department to create method for transparent communication and support for employees.
- Support Talent Acquisition through the development of a formal Employee Value Proposition, social media campaigns, recruiting resources, and career fairs.
- Manage Corporate Communications team effectively, supporting them in both professional success and personal development.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field preferred, Master's degree a plus but not required. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of education when a candidate possesses extensive, relevant experience.
- Minimum of 7-10 years relevant work experience in relevant field(s), (i.e., marketing, communications, public relations)
- Familiarity in working with a foreign owned international company a plus
- Experience in biotech, pharma, and/or healthcare required
- Demonstrated strategic marketing communications planning skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Experience leading and developing individuals
- Excellent creative skills
- Knowledge of social media concepts and practical experience
- Demonstrated strong writing proficiency
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Professional and calm in stressful situations
- Proficient with Microsoft software, ADOBE Creative Suite, Hubspot
- Technically savvy and able to learn new applications easily
Salary Range: $180k - $210k
Salary range provided per current averages and expectations. The salary and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
