KBR is looking for a CMM Technician to support the Quality Inspection Team. This role will be responsible for the measuring of all products to the customer's specifications, the calibration of all check fixtures and measuring devices, & will perform layout inspection of parts, assemblies, and inspection fixtures and gages using a Coordinate Measuring Machine or other appropriate measuring devices.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect manufactured parts to ensure that hole locations, contour measurements, and shapes conform, within prescribed tolerances, to part print specifications, using coordinate measuring machine and working to Aerospace tolerances
- Adhere to customer layout standards and methodologies
- Create and edit dimensional inspection programs for the CMM
- Create program set-up and execution documentation
- Conduct miscellaneous surface plate inspections and hand-held gage setup/calibration as required
- Investigate instances of mismeasurement; to identify research, analyze, and report measurement problems
- Interact and assist with Manufacturing and Engineering personnel regarding part conformance and process capability
- Assist in training other employees in CMM operation
- Implement and maintain the company's quality policy through the performance of all duties and responsibilities to ensure accuracy
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

3 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

1 year proven ability as a CMM Operator

Training or experience with CMM operation must be documented (PC-DMIS preferred)

Proficiency in
-
Reading and interpreting blueprints, math data, reports, instructions, and guidelines

Using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)

Using measuring instruments, i.e., caliper, micrometer, height gages, etc.

Personal computer operation and applications in an MS Windows operating system

Ability to work well with others; build and maintain positive employee relationships

Occasionally required to sit, balance, and bend

Must be able to frequently lift and or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds
