Title:
Deputy Regional Director NSW/MARSOCThe Naval Special Warfare (NSW) / Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) Deputy Regional Director (DRD) provides direct operations support to the Regional Director (RD) for the Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF) contract management and execution, as it relates to NSW/MARSOC and other assigned units. Duties include but are not limited to personnel management, recruiting, retention, customer relations and general contract management of day-to-day tasks. The DRD also provides assist in the management of all OCONUS personnel to include coordination for mobilization/demobilization, personnel support during OCONUS assignments, and project management. This DRD position also serves as the POTFF Nurse Case Manager subject matter expert (SME). The NCM SME will support the POTFF Director and work closely with the other RD/DRD’s/HR/Recruiting. Duties include but are not limited to advisory, recruitment support and retention. Other assigned duties and tasks may include, but is not limited to, Health and Human Performance business development working groups.
- Assist RD in fulfilling all contract management responsibilities for NSW/MARSOCs and other units as assigned.
- Assist RD in management of OCONUS personnel and contribute to OCONUS working groups as required.
- Advise PM and work with RD’s and DRD’s on Nursing related topics as they pertain to the POTFF contract management and execution.
- Interface with SOCOM POTFF leaderships regarding contract strategic and tactical requirements
- During absence of RD, act as primary POC to assigned Service (AFSOC, MARSOC, USASOC, JSOC, NSW/MARSOC and/or USSOCOM HQ).
- Team with the Regional Director to develop, monitor, and recommend strategic plans to support contract requirements and emerging customer needs. Monitor innovations/ improvements for success in contract execution.
- Provide management/inputs in selection, training, and performance of assigned and/or matrixed personnel.
- Manage regional staffing plans, oversee regional resources, and project execution; comply with all reporting requirements.
- Interface with customers on a consistent basis to ensure that our team is meeting expectations and modify plan/processes in order to successfully meet customer(s) requirements.
- Prepare and participate in, presentation of monthly internal program reviews and status reports as required.
- Assist with defining staffing needs, recruitment, retention and development.
- Assist in planning Regional Teammate, PMO, customer meetings as needed.
- Travel to assigned sites, meet regularly with customers and employees.
- Support Recruiting Conferences.
- Oversee regional compliance with all contract requirements.
- Support regional/service area for continuous improvement and implement improvements.
- Work closely with Regional Director on any staff or resource issue within the assigned regional/service area of the Program, including the direction or re-direction of resources to facilitate execution of any task.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in a Nursing or Health Service Management.
- Maintenance of degree associated license or certification.
- Previous assignment/employment within SOCOM, JSOC or Component Command. (AFSOC, MARSOC, USASOC, NSW)
- One year experience in management of US Government contracts and programs.
Required Skills/Training:
- Demonstrable success leading a team
- Demonstrable success in building and leading multi-institutional teams and diverse teams of personnel
- Demonstrable experience in both strategic and tactical planning and execution
- Strong and effective written communication skills for reports, analysis, and e-mails
- Fluent in the use of MS Office products
- Must possess or be able to attain a Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance.
- Direct or indirect experience with the POTFF program
- Diverse knowledge of behavioral health fields, licensing, certification, and credentialing requirements
- Desired Education, Experience, Skills or Training:
- Thorough understanding of military medical and human performance/effectiveness programs
Basic Compensation:
$111K - $125K
This range is for San Diego, CA Location area only
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
