Title:
Engineering Technician VIKBR is seeking a highly motivated self-starter, adaptable to a fast-paced, exciting environment as a Reliability and Maintainability Engineering Technician VI at NAS Patuxent River, MD, in support of PMA-234.
In this role, you will...
- Support the Government’s leadership in executing complex tasks, such as monitoring all maintenance actions on the ALQ 249 NGJ pods to ensure all Reliability & Maintainability requirements are met.
- Apply engineering techniques, principles, and precedents to develop, design, modify, install, test, evaluate, or operate electrical, electronic, avionics, mechanical, communications, stores, armament/ordnance, or related data processing systems for military weapon systems or associated support equipment or components.
- Review, analyze, develop, prepare, or apply engineering, technical, or maintenance specifications, policies, standards, or procedures.
- Organize, analyze, and prepare reports or presentations of technical data and information.
- Plan and perform tests and evaluations of systems equipment or components.
- Compile, process, reduce, or analyze test data results.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen
Security Clearance: Secret OR able to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.
Experience (No allowable substitution):
- At least 10 years of experience in general or practical experience in aircraft, weapons systems, or aircraft support equipment
- Experience with aircraft and flight data collection and analysis
- Experience with Reliability & Maintainability maintenance actions and management systems
- Experience preparing reports or presentations of technical data and information to be used in evaluations of aircraft performance
Education:
- High School diploma or GED AND
- Completion of a technical school, trade school, or advanced armed services technical school curriculum or course of training in electricity, electronics, avionics, mechanics, armaments, ordnance, or engineering technology; or completion of at least 30 semester hours of course studies at an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical curriculum.
