Joint Exercise Planner

Title:Joint Exercise PlannerKBR is seeking a skilled Joint Exercise Planner to support the development, planning and execution of Army Air and Missile Defense Command exercises. Develops effective, robust, reliable and dynamic exercise related products. Provides Army Air Defense commanders and their battle staff the capability to train in an operationally relevant, live, virtual and constructive simulation environment that simulates Joint and Combined Decisive Action operations. Supports land component maneuver and sustainment forces scenario development with Joint forces and scripting for assigned exercises.Essential Job Functions:Provide analytical support to plan, prepare, rehearse, conduct, and assess staff exercises, table-top exercises, Mission Rehearsal Exercises, Culminating Training Events, and unit sustainment training events. Coordinates with and assists exercise Action Officers as required in the various Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) events to include exercise planning, scenario development and scripting.Plans, organizes, and prepares exercise products to facilitate joint air and missile defense operations, including airspace management, offensive and defensive counter-air operations, coalition integration, sensor system management, and data link operations. Develops exercise plans for managing assigned forces and air operations using voice and data communication and radar systems. Develops, reviews, and publishes exercise documents such as Special instructions and Area Air Defense Plans.Advises on the effective use of air battle management assets. Provides functional expertise and input for activating, employing, deploying, or deactivating air battle management systems.Provides recommendations to create inter-operability among air battle management assets and other warfighting capabilities to enhance exercise operations and allow air defense commanders increased responsiveness and flexibility. Advises on weapons control capabilities, procedural control methods, and overall joint air battle management. Performs other tasks in support of the Joint Training Program, such as developing plans, knowledge management, doctrine review, conference support, and related administrative assignmentsSkills Required:Should possess a working knowledge of Joint Planning processes, Army maneuver forces doctrine, and Army division and Corps staff activitiesMust be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPointMust have an understanding of the Joint Training SystemMust have strong verbal and written communication skillsMust be organized, detail oriented and able to work independently, establish priorities, organize work and maintain performance under pressure of multiple conflicting deadlinesQualifications:Must be a US CitizenMust have SECRET Security clearanceRequires a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of applicable experience (additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)Military experience with an Air Operations Center staff desiredKBR is an equal opportunity employer.
