KBR is looking for a Modeling and Simulation Lead to join our team. The individual will serve as the technical SME and advisor to support Space Systems Command (SSC) leadership for scenario development, modeling, and simulation analysis within Government and/or contractor environments. In this role, the individual will be asked to participate in a variety of modeling, simulation, and analysis assignments, including defining and implementing Digital Engineering and MBSE training programs. This is a high visibility position, and we are looking for just the right go-getter to join our team.
Responsibilities include:
Mature system architecture to establish and maintain a technical baseline, with automated technical impact tools, integrated modeling, and simulation, and has traceability to the program technical solution.
Enhance internal and external training programs.
Define and grow synergies across multiple efforts, develop initiatives, and lead implementation.
Support Integration of MBSE tools to enable trade studies using COTS APIs and custom integrations.
Recommending and tracking of mission Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs) and system Technical Performance Measures (TPMs)
Refine Digital Engineering/MBSE standards, style guides, and conventions and coordinate the Digital Engineering infrastructure development.
Liaison with subject matter experts, analysts, architects, designers, system engineers, specialty engineers, and management to capture structure and behavior according to Government and Commercial (e.g., OMG) standards.
Oversee the creation and maintenance of SysML and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)/Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) models in Cameo Enterprise Architect
Minimum Qualifications:
MS in Science, Technology, Engineering (either Systems Engineering or other Engineering discipline) and Mathematics (STEM)
Cameo Enterprise Architect, Sparx Enterprise Architect, DOORS/DOORS Next Generation, and/or Phoenix Integration Model Center and familiarity with various analytical and decisions aid tools (e.g. MatLab, STK, etc.)
Experience with Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) integration with MBSE
15 years’ overall experience providing M&S support to DoD or IC organizations
Five years’ experience with MBSE and related methodologies (e.g. Object Oriented Systems Engineering Method (OOSEM), Systems Modeling Language (SysML)/Unified Modeling Language (UML))
Experience with version control tools (e.g. Teamwork Cloud, SVN, GitHub)
Possible travel (<20%)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting a United States Space Force (USSF) Government organization
Experience interacting with corporate and Government customer leadership
Training execution experience
10 years’ experience with digital engineering tools (e.g. CAMEO, SparxEA)
INCOSE and OCSMP certification(s)
Security Requirements:
Eligible for TS and SCI (active TS preferred)
Salary range is 180K – 210K. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
