Title:
Scrum MasterKBR is seeking a highly motivated Scrum Master to support the Space Systems Command’s Rapid Resilient Command and Control (R2C2) Program in Colorado Springs. R2C2 is an Agile program that delivers tactical satellite operations command and control capabilities through a federated suite of services. The successful candidate offers Scrum Master certification, skills and experience, and is passionate about fostering high-performing teams and enabling their continued success.
Responsibilities include:
- Guide and coach Agile development teams (1-2 teams) in using Agile methodologies and Scrum practices to deliver first time quality products and services
- Schedule and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives)
- Perform as a Servant Leader for the Agile Team, leading the team through influence and by example

Maintain close relationships with the Agile team, Product Owner, and other Scrum Masters
- Foster open discussion and assistance amongst Agile teammates
- Assist the Product Owner with product backlog prioritization, grooming and maintenance
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters on cross-team dependencies and support requests

Enable the Agile team to perform at the best of their abilities
- Guide the team to self-organization within the Agile methodology
- Remove impediments to the team’s progress
- Shield the team from distractions, both internal and external
- Empower change in the interest of improvement

Effectively communicate project timelines and milestones to project stakeholders
- Utilize project coordination tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
- Capture, report, and improve team level metrics
- Relentlessly pursue improvement opportunities utilizing continual input from the team
Required Qualifications:
- Scrum Master certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with Agile methodologies and /or DoD programs
- Extensive experience with at least one Agile Methodology (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Strong understanding of Agile best practices and Scrum best practices
- In-depth familiarity with the Scrum framework
- Strong communicative skills, both technical and interpersonal
- Demonstrated ability to foster team cohesiveness
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter who can lead and partner with multiple teammates
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field such as computer science, information security, engineering or a related field
- 5 years of experience with Agile methodologies and /or DoD programs
- Experience with the Department of Defense / Space Force / Space Systems Command
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications
- Practical experience using JIRA and Confluence
Security Clearance Requirements:
Active DoD Secret with ability to obtain Top Secret / SCI or eligibility. Active TS or TS/SCI preferred.
Basic Compensation:
145-165K
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
