Title:
Systems/Geophysical Analyst
KBR is looking for a Systems/ Geophysical Analyst to provide support by conducting research into the use of infrasound and seismic data for treaty monitoring purposes. The Systems/ Geophysical Analyst will assess regional data evaluation procedures & software. This role will also Model signal propagation through realistic atmospheres.
- Must possess a fully adjudicated (not an interim) Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility*
Must be U.S. Citizen
Responsibilities:
- Investigate signal-source scaling for a variety of source conditions
- Evaluation of techniques for wind noise suppression with existing and experimental sensor technologies
- General infrasound/hydroacoustic research
- Recommend actions to correct deficiencies, increase efficiency, and improve capabilities
- Prepare executive level briefings
- Perform documentation reviews
- Prepare technical reports on integration and installation support issues and recommendation corrective actions to senior government executive
- Attend meeting at the direction of the government, reporting findings, progress, and recommending corrective actions
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 5 years of relevant experience performing tasks like those above
- Or an Air Force Scientific Applications Specialist Associate degree and 9 years of relevant experience
- In lieu of formal education 13 years of documented experience specific to the defined responsibilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Word
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to communicate with executives
Desired Experience & Skills:
AFTAC geophysical analyst experience
Site response analysis and understanding of propagation path effects
SeaTools, SAC, or other geophysical signal processing software
Geophysical system calibration for operations and maintenance
Routine noise analysis, signal analysis, including frequency analysis of both
Basic coding/scripting skills
Previously worked within a government Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF)
Deriving and marking classified documents according to the National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM) and local security classification guides
