**Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated Audiology Assistant to join our team at KC Hearing Center. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to patient care. We provide training to be an Audiology Assistant with no prior technical experience required. Assisting patients to hear better is very rewarding as it keeps them connected to friends and family and improves overall quality of life.
**Responsibilities:**
- Assist Audiologists in a clinical setting with patient care.
- Support medical staff in coding and medical terminology.
- Troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance for hearing devices.
- Provide direct patient care including cleaning & servicing hearing aids.
- Administrative duties include assisting front office as needed with patient check in, answering phone calls and calling patients back, ordering supplies and hearing aids based on the Audiologists prescription, and reviewing chart notes.
- Assist the Audiologist to ensure all responsibilities are completed daily.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma required. Associates degree or higher preferred.
- Some experience in medical terminology and coding practices.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting.
- Willingness to work with older patients.
- Well-spoken and speaks clearly to patients with hearing loss.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Works as a team and is committed to building relationships with patients.
